Life & Thyme Article on Cask & Larder

The Conversation That Brought It All Together

Patrick Chin: "Hey Beam. Want free cocktails at Cask & Larder?"

Me: "..."

Patrick: "...Nathan?"

Me: "Is this a trick?"

Patrick: "No."

Me: "Then what is this?"

Patrick: "What?"

Me: "Are you pulling my leg?"

Patrick: "What's wrong with you? It's a generous offer. It's for a piece I am doing with Life & Thyme. You eat, write an article and I'll grab some photos."

Me: "Oh...well, of course I want to do that.

Patrick: "Thought so. How soon can we meet up?"

Me: "...well, I'm already here."

  1. Cask & Larder: Can't speak highly enough of the food you are making and the effect it is having in Orlando. Huge appreciation for the work you're doing.
  2. Life & Thyme: Your staff creates one of my favorite publications out there. Love the detail you put into it. Honored to be a part of it.
  3. Patrick Michael Chin: Working with you is a treat. I'm most proud of the stuff we get to work on together.
  4. Stef Ferrari: Your editing (and writing) skills are incredible. Love learning from you.

Side Note

Can we get a round of applause for the ampersand? It was barely talked about a decade ago and has been included in all things cool for the past 5 years.  At this point, I can't not see it. Life & Thyme. Cask & Larder. Sonny & Cher.

You get the point. Thanks ampersand for becoming my generation's stamp of approval.
